Let the Bright Seraphim...

Rejoice! (sorry... I was a vocal major in college, and always end up with that Handel aria stuck in my head when thinking about the Seraphim group)

Yesterday, the folks at Seraphim blog announced that nearly 50 designers had contributed thank you gifts for their inworld group members.

Just join the Seraphim in-world group (free!), head over to their new HQ, and start gathering up your goodies! This is the second time that members of the Seraphim group have gotten spoiled recently, so you might want to stay tuned to this group.

These aren't my favorite photos that I've ever taken, but I've tried to showcase many of the gifts... keep in mind that everything shown below, EXCEPT for my hair, eyes, shape (in most of the photos), collar, and backgrounds, are free gifts from Seraphim HQ. And this isn't everything by a long shot!

So here we go....

Shown in the photos above are gifts from (listed in mostly alphabetical order, and forgive me if I miss you!)- Anatomy, Cheeky Pea, croire, Forsaken, Fuzzy Bee, Hysteria, Insanya, Leri Miles Designs, LouLou&Co, Magnifique, Melino Style, Michigans Shack, Mock, Molichino, Oasis Furniture, Razorblade Jacket, STaTUS, Step inSide, The Strawberry Box, TuttiFruitti, Wrong, Es' cusi, SweetAntidote, and alterego.

As you can see, there is a bit of everything... skin, make-up, tattoos, shoes, clothes, furniture, food items, outdoor decor, poses, shapes... even a motorcycle that I didn't show! And I forgot to show the gift from The Sea Hole, but they have one there, too!

So what are you waiting for? Get on it! :)

Finally!

It took some doing, a bit of heartache, and a fair bit of cussing, but here is a look at that wedding gown that I promised you in my post from earlier this evening.

Breathtaking, isn't it? And it comes with two skirt options... a charming, less formal cocktail length...and...

the dramatic full cathedral length train.

The dress comes with the flowered headpiece, so all you have to do is add a pair of white shoes, perhaps some silk stockings, and you will be good to go on your big day.

So, if you have wedding bells in your future, head over to Hello World, join the ARice group (free to join, and a group join board is conveniently located right next to the lucky board), wade into the water (you need to be close to the board as I found out the hard way on a wildcard... thus the cussing!), and wait... Or shell out a few linden (L$250, I think) and buy the dress from the nearby vendor.

Saying Hello at the World's End

World's End Garden has a beautiful gown set out as a grand opening gift at their RMK Gothic Mall location.

Remove the skirt, and it becomes a gorgeous lingerie set. All you have to do is tp on over and pick yours up!

And while you are at the Gothic Mall, head over to Frozen Night, where the beautiful Widow Hat awaits you.

I know it is rather hard to see the details, and my picture doesn't do it justice, but it is lovely, and will be a great addition to your gothy wardrobe!

While wandering around the Gothic Mall, I stumbled across a store with beautiful dresses at very modest prices. Intrigued, I went to the mainstore, and found myself confronted by a wildcard luck board with a beautiful dress as the prize! Quickly, I hit it... Group Only! Oh no! No worries, I'm quick on my feet... I hit the ARice group join board (hoping that I still had a group space open) and joined (for free!). Moments later the lovely Fable dress from Hello World was mine!

While still basking in the glow of my good luck, I noticed the group gift board just to the right of it, and snagged (bad choice of words when talking about knitted items) the soft and very cuddly Sheep Knit Sweater in turquoise.

It looks so warm and cozy, it makes me want one in rl. :)

While I was looking around the store, I spotted another freebie dress. The flowered Pop Textile Dress is free to everyone... no need to join the group for this one.

It is very lovely, but rather summery... so it may need to go back into my closet until next June!

The shoes are a fatpack dollarbie (well, actually a two dollarbie!) from the Dressing Room. You will have to visit both The Dressing Room and The Dressing Room Blue to get these shoes... one stop has just the right foot shoes, the other has just the left foot shoes. They aren't hard to find at either location (in plain sight at the landing point) and well worth the two trips. The flowers on them are even color change, so you have lots of options to mix and match. Also, grab the halloween dollarbie version nearby at The Dressing Room Blue location. I'm not sure how long these shoes will be out, so if you like them, go get them, because they will likely be gone when The Dressing Room Blue changes.

My hair is Glitter Party, Clawtooth's offering for the latest Collabor88. While it isn't free, it is only L$88 per color pack. Collabor88 showcases a variety of designers, who offer specially discounted items at the price of... you guessed it!... $L88.

Oh... and I might also mention, there is another group lucky board at Hello World. It is somewhat hidden in the recessed water feature in the center of the store, but if you are fortunate enough to hit your letter, the stunning Pure Wedding gown will be yours. I'm still waiting on mine... even as we speak! If I get lucky and manage to grab one, I'll post it here. In the meantime, I'll wait. Just like I'm waiting for the proverbial Mister Right. *sighs* Just kidding!... kinda...

Have a Boo-tiful Halloween

Call it Halloween, All Hallows Eve, Samhain, Night of the Great Pumpkin, or whatever ;), tonight is a night for fun, fantasy, candy, and celebration!

If you are looking for something a bit more exotic and sexier than your normal ghost, witch, superhero, etc.... head over to Helter Skelter, join the update group (free!), and then snag the beautiful Exotic Spice slave girl ensemble in a special halloween edition.

The top is actually semi-sheer (I created a bit of masking on an undershirt layer just for modesty purposes while I was collecting LMs for this post).

Going wonderfully with these silks, is a gorgeous new hair from Clawtooth! It is called Modern Gibson, and while it isn't free, I just couldn't help but show it off... I've been waiting on a well done Gibson Girl style for sometime now. Muriel's had a lovely one, but unfortunately, it hasn't been available since the store closed up a couple of years back. *pout* An early alt of mine has it, but I wanted one for me, doggone it!

I'd considered sending Bubbles Clawtooth a picture of it, and begging (on hands and knees if need be) to have something similar made. Fortunately, it didn't come to that... Bubbles heard my prayer (and if I read the notecard correctly... the prayers of others who DID get around to requesting a gibson girl style), and because Bubbles loves us all... voila!... we now have not one, but two!, gibson girl styles to choose from. The second is called More, More, More and has a bit of a 1940's flair to it. To see More, More, More, you will just have to go to Bubbles' store and check it out. ;) Big muah to Bubbles... you've made me a very happy (gibson) girl!

Be spook-tacular tonight!

Gimme Blacklace!

Ok, something short and sweet... or if you prefer fun sized! (yes, I've Halloween candy on the brain. 'Tis the season after all!)

Speaking of the season, Blacklace lingerie has several Halloween gifts for us. First up is Gimme My Treat, a deliciously decadent set that, aside from the sexy panty and garters, won't go straight to your hips!

To get this charming set, just head over to the Blacklace main store and slap the in-store vendor.

Also, not very far away and completely unhidden is the hunt prize for the Pumpkin Prints hunt (blogged in my previous post). Just look for the pumpkin with the paw print on it.

The next two sets are gifts for the Blacklace group, and can be found in the group notices. There is a one-time fee of L$99 to join, but with gifts like this, it is more than worth a few lindens! Look for the "Join Group" sign in the store, and go from there.

First, the beautiful non-Halloween Elegance set

And then the mischievous Witching Hour (my personal favorite...love the moon charms on the garter bows! And fishnetting...always a hit with me.)

To get these two gifts, join the Blacklace group and then check the past notices.

Taste of SL Hunt

Yikes! I know I've said it before... only this time it is REALLY! long time no post! Like ten months, no post! *shakes head*

Anyway, there is a great hunt going on right now, and the prizes are just too good to miss! It is, of course, the Taste of SL Hunt (probably caught that from the title of this post though, huh?)

The hunt started on October 1 and runs until October 15... so just a couple more days to go. But it is a relatively small hunt (41 stores). I managed to complete the entire hunt in just a few hours.

Now... let's check out my favorite gifts, shall we?

A cute flowered top from Sleeping Koala

From Bounce... the Kate Tank Top and Jeans set

Also shown... the cute glasses from Acid & Mala

You are looking at the shoes now, right? :) They are the prize from Baby Monkey.

Here's a better look at them...

From Pink Outfitters... a military inspired jacket

Sakide is offering the Time for Fall top and skirt as their hunt gift.

And a weird angle making me look like I've got the biggest hand in the world! *wiggles her gigantic fingers at you* Scared? You should be...

This set also comes complete with a pair of clogs... not shown.

From DCNY, the sexy and lush Button Down Shirt in harvest... I love this color!

The delicate padlock heart necklace I've been wearing is the gift from Lacuna It even has a tiny, tiny little key on it.

The giant chess set that I've been posing with is the hunt gift from eXpression

WARNING***WARNING***WARNING***WARNING***WARNING*** The next two images show the prizes from Blacklace, and while they aren't really all that...umm...exposed, at least one of them would not be acceptable to wear in a PG sim! ;)

First up the ToSL gift from Blacklace.

And the gift from the Pumpkin Prints hunt (the hunt targets aren't hidden and they are side by side, so make sure to grab both while you are there)

And if you haven't already done so, pop on over to Poetic Colors and pick up the new free eyes. They are called Autumn Moon, and they are an intriguing mix of golden brown and lavender. And though my picture doesn't show it, there is the reflection of the moon in them.
Poetic Color eyes are the best eyes on the grid IMO, and Lano Ling spoils us all by always having a free gift set out. Thank you Lano!

Earth girls may be easy...

but alien girls are out of this world!

When I saw that this week's color challenge was Emerald, I knew I wanted to revisit a blast from my past.

Long ago, there was an excellent, but short lived goth club called Penance on the Gas Light sim. Like many dance clubs, they had themed costume nights. This was my entry for the "Best in Green" night. I'm not sure what spirit of creativity possessed me to pull this look together (I'm usually far less adventurous with my looks!), but I loved it enough to save it as an outfit in my inventory, something I rarely do. If I recall correctly, I also won the costume prize that night, and it prompted this memorable quip from Dare Munro, "Look! It is the Great Gazoo's hot cousin!"

Like I said, Penance was short-lived, but came at a point in my life when I was very lonely and depressed. The hours I spent there taught me to laugh again, sometimes to the point of tears, and I took away a number of friendships with the regulars there, and many, many memories that still can make me laugh today.

I'm putting up more photos than usual, just because I was having fun snapping them and couldn't choose a favorite among them. You can also see that I started playing with the windlight presets, and enjoying the different effects that they gave to the scene. None of these photos have been processed in anyway save for cropping, and are as they appeared inworld.

Hmmm... I wonder what happens if I use a different windlight setting...?

Cool!

I really must remember to take note of which settings I used...

Ok... this was the Chernobel one! Not sure about the two settings though...

My apologies... all of these items have been in my inventory for about a year and half or more. Therefore, most of the items are no longer available for free, others may not be available at all.

Life in Neutral

I finally decided to take up LunaJubilee's color challenge, and what color do I decide to jump in on? Taupe! I'm not really a neutral-tones kind of girl, so I'm really not sure what possessed me to try taupe. Oh well, life is full of mysteries, I suppose.

While I liked the idea of the color challenge, I've been dragging my feet to participate in it. This being primarily a freebie and cheapie blog, there is the added challenge of finding something free or inexpensive that is currently available. I wasn't sure that I was up to it, and I'm sure there will be weeks that I will miss due to RL duties or just not being able to come up with something that I am happy with in that week's color.

But without further delay, here is my submission for taupe...

Movin Towards Romance

This is another lingerie post, because you can never have too many frilly, sexy girly little nothings, right? Then there was the fact that a note card from Movin group came bounding my way, announcing that a number of older items had been marked down to L$0!

So, off I went to Movin, and on the lower level, I found several lovely bra and panty sets for free.

This is just a selection of the free bra and panty sets at Movin. There are a few others to be had for no linden, along with some discounted lingerie sets in the same area.

Also, this beautiful lingerie item is still in the lucky chair.

Just cross your fingers, and hope like heck that your letter comes up! I am wearing some nipple tape from another outfit in the photo for modesty's sake... the actual item is tantalizingly sheer and peek-a-boo.

Heating up those cold winter nights

Valentine's day is coming, and all across the grid, gorgeous sexy little nothings are beginning to show up. Here's a sampling of some that I've found over the past few days...

From Blacklace, a pretty in pink corset set. Free, just click the vendor! Also there are a couple of other gift bags on the floor nearby.

Other credits:
Mary Jane Shoes- Mary Jane in Pink (not free)
Amacci Hair- Mira (not free)

From Movin

This sexy lace babydoll set is this month's group gift. Just join the group and click the gift bag next to it. You are only allowed to take one, so don't accidentally delete or misplace it in your inventory (raises hand... I found it though!)

There are also two lucky chairs at Movin where you can win these two yummies...

This is my favorite of the two lucky chair prizes. Don't you love the naughty peek-a-boo look? ;)

Sorry about the funky color in this photo, but the lingerie is white, and it is so difficult to get white to show up at all in photos. I was trying to get it so that you could actually SEE the item. It really is lovely, despite what my lack of photo skills shows. lol

Hair is from Amacci again, in the Eva and Fayne styles (not free)

And for something a bit kinkier, check out this smoking hot Midnight Mania prize from DV8...

This is the Bellringer Latex Corset- This fatpack contains four different colors with black variations giving you a total of eight different looks! I've only shown two here.

It also comes with black tape pasties, panties, garters, and stockings. This set has been in the MM board at DV8 for a few days now, and it tends to lock-down early. Don't wait on this one!

The MM board is found in the Riot Room, along with three lucky chairs, a Prizes for Picks board that gets changed up regularly, a number of inworld group gifts, and a nearby 7seas fishing hole with a darling outfit just waiting to be fished out (grab your fishing rod and go fish!)

Hair is from Amacci (again!), and it is Lily. (not free)

Other credits:

Skin- Pink Fuel- Ember (Milk)- New Blood (currently on sale for L$100 at the time of the this posting... unknown when sale ends)

Fashionably Bald Challenge

I celebrate those of you who have fought and won.

I encourage those of you who are even now fighting.

I remember those of you who have been taken too soon.

And for the rest of us, please remember... early detection does save lives. Get regular check-ups, and remember to live fully and to live well.

Please note that this blog entry is in response to a blog challenge by Sylvia Olivier of Coffeesmoke blog in support of her friend Miss Shellbee. Miss Shellbee is soon to undergo chemo and radiation treatments, and may be sporting the bald look as a result. Fortunately, her cancer was caught early, and she has been given a good prognosis.

I felt compelled to take part in this challenge having lost so many to this wretched disease. I lost my mother 18 years ago... I still miss her. Even my beloved companion animals have not been spared.

Then there are those I know currently in the fight... Linda, my co-worker, who bought herself a necklace the other day because she decided that she was, in fact, going to beat her cancer and live. And my ex-mother-in-law who has been putting up a miraculous fight for over ten years! This is about nine and half years after having been given a six months to live prognosis... even her doctors are astounded. :)

And for my young friend Elijah, who at the tender age of 14, was diagnosed with brain cancer, and beat it!

So, this is for all of them, and so many others.

~My apologies for the lack of focus of free items in this posting, but I wanted a specific look, and so, a number of items were purchased outright as a result.~
